About Course

Pressure injuries are localized damage to the skin caused by prolonged pressure or pressure combined

with shear. Stage 1 pressure injury represents the earliest stage and is characterized by

non blanchable redness of intact skin. Early identification and intervention can prevent progression to

more severe stages.
